Yukon Territory, Canada
In July and August 2014 I joined a crew of researchers from the University of New mexico to collect small mammals and their parasites from the Canadian arctic. This expedition was a part of the NSF CIIBA project awarded to researchers at the University of New Mexico. We drove and collected along the way from Whitehorse up to Dawson, and then North along the Dempster Highway. It was cold and windy at times, with swarms of mosquitoes and black flies, but the collecting was very successful.
